Who am I?
Natalie. A poor college student with a pretty severe shopping
addiction. Currently studying
Marketing/Digital Advertising at the University of Northern Iowa (graduating in
May…hire me!)
What am I doing?
Blogging about my shopping rehab in the form of thrift
shopping, repurposing projects, and…other things that have yet to be
determined. As to what I’m doing with my life? That’s a good question.
Why am I blogging?
I started my blog as a marketing/digital media class
project, but have really always wanted to start a crafting/fashion blog so it
worked out that I was able to do both at once. (If you’re reading this right
now, I’m throwing out a huge THANK YOU! My grade depends on you--know that
you’re reading for a good cause!)
How did I get started with thrift shopping?
Long story short, I've always been a thriftaholic but going to college slashed my shopping budget into half (or zero), so I had to adapt my ways a bit. Read about that here (it's entertaining, I promise!).

Where’d I get the name iThriftaholic?
Originally I thought it’d be clever to start my blog posts
in third person saying, “I, Thriftaholic…blah blah blah.” But do you know how
repetitive that would get?
What is my favorite thing to thrift for?
Clothes!!! I’m pretty sure my closet could easily be mistaken for a thrift shop on its own…(unsure if this is something I should be proud of, or if I'm putting myself in the hoarding zone).

Hobbies?
Shopping. Eating. And I suppose painting and sewing…anything crafty.
Oh, and traveling--I studied abroad for five months in England last year and
have also been to Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Nicaragua. My life would
be complete if I could live in London for the rest of my life.
One thing I can’t live without?
Clothes. Life would be boring naked. And by boring, I mean…weird, scary, and probably cold at times.

What’s with the cat?
That would be my roommate’s cat, Luna, who I sometimes
(usually) pretend that I own. The poor thing has been raised from kittenhood by
myself and my three crazy roommates, so he’s turned out to be pretty amusing. He enjoys eating
and sleeping (wonder who he learned that from) as well as pretending that he
can drink out of straws.
